Burkina Faso, known as “the land of upright men,” truly lives up to its name—a country of warm, honorable people. However, its welcoming inhabitants are just one of the many reasons to visit this fascinating destination, which blends the best of the Sahel with the Gulf of Guinea. From breathtaking landscapes and a vibrant musical scene to stunning architectural diversity—ranging from mud-brick mosques to the elaborately painted Kassena houses—Burkina Faso offers countless reasons to explore its unique charm.

Day 1: International Flight and Arrival
Flight and arrival in Ouagadougou. Overnight stay at Chez Giuliana Hotel.

Day 2: Ouagadougou – Bobo Dioulasso
A 6-hour drive to Bobo Dioulasso, with stops along the way, including a visit to the sacred crocodile lake of Bazoulé and the town of Boromo.
Overnight stay at Villa Rose Hotel.

Day 3: Bobo Dioulasso
Exploration of Burkina Faso’s cultural capital, including:

The Grand Market
The 19th-century Sudanese-style mud-brick mosque
The old town (Dioulasoba), where ancient traditions are still preserved. The neighborhood is divided into districts based on caste: animists, Muslims, blacksmiths, and musicians.

Days 4 & 5: Banfora and the Senufo Region
A two-hour drive southwest to Banfora, home to stunning natural landscapes, including:

Karfiguela Waterfalls
The Domes of Fabedougou (unique rock formations)
Lake Tangrela, where you can watch a breathtaking sunset and spot hippos
The Peaks of Sindou
The Senufo people, known for their circular adobe houses and rich traditions.

Days 6 & 7: Lobi Country
Two days exploring Gaoua and its surroundings, immersing ourselves in the fascinating Lobi culture. We will:

Visit Lobi villages to understand their traditional way of life
Explore Doudou Market
Discover the Loropéni Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overnight stays at Hala Hotel.

Day 8: Nazinga Forest
A full day of safari adventures in Nazinga Forest, a protected area known for its diverse wildlife.
Overnight stay at Tiébélé Lodge.

Day 9: Kassena Country
The Kassena region is remarkable for its unique royal court architecture, where buildings are beautifully decorated with intricate paintings. Tiébélé, the most famous city in this region, is also known for its picturesque landscapes.
Overnight stay at Tiébélé Lodge.

Day 10: Return to Ouagadougou
A final stroll in the area before returning to Ouagadougou. Time permitting, we will explore the capital before departure.
